The X International Festival of Jazz and World Music “PetroJazz"

18 - 19 july, 2014, Saint Petersburg


Classical music, jazz, avant-garde, rock-and-roll, latin music and reggae – all that will be featured with the beautiful scenery of the historic center of St. Petersburg in the background in time of White Nights.

In 2014 the festival acquires new strength and new breath. Two stages will operate at the same time, spectators will be offered eight hours of music performed by stars from jazz major league: Pee Wee Ellis (United Kingdom), saxophonist Celine Bonacina (France), Shine duo, pioneer of Russian ethno-jazz composer and conductor Boris Bazurov, young star of Russian jazz singer and multi-instrumentalist Alevtina Polyakova, musicians from Denmark, Poland, Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The jazz historian Vladimir Feiertag will supervise the festival. The entrance is free.

Peter and Paul Fortress is the unique tourist site as well as international exhibition and festival center that attracts masters of arts from around the world.

Applications for participation in "PetroJazz" arrive from America, Australia, Indonesia, Brazil, Africa, the Middle East and all countries of Europe. A large number of spectators specifically come to the city for the event from Scandinavia, UK, USA, not to mention the neighbouring countries and regions of Russia.
